Hi, I’m Sarah, a curious wanderer with a camera in one hand and a notebook in the other.

I’ve always found it hard to stay in one place for too long, probably because I didn’t grow up in just one. My childhood was a patchwork of countries and cultures, shaped by years of moving between Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. That early nomadic way of life never quite left me.

So far, I’ve explored 88 countries, not to check boxes, but to collect stories, moments, and meals with strangers who became friends. The African continent holds a special place in my heart, and I often find myself drawn back to its warmth, complexity, and soul.

As for many of us in the African diaspora, my journey is also one of reconnection. Rediscovering not just the country of our roots but also the wider continent, reveals the threads that unite us, as well as the differences that enrich us. This dual perspective fuels my vision: to celebrate and share the many facets of Africa with those near and far. 

These days, I’m based on the island of Mauritius, working on turning travel into something slower, deeper, and more thoughtful,   whether through photostories, writing, or meaningful conversations.
